Blurring the lines, shortening the playing field

It's football season, and those yardages are very important. What would you think if your favorite team's arch-rival fudged the lines a bit in their favor? That's exactly what Pat Robertson suggested for a man whose wife developed Alzheimer's disease. She's as good as dead; divorce her!

It's also what Canadian judges did when they threw out a murder conviction of a woman who killed her baby shortly after birth. It was just a very late, "fourth trimester" abortion.

The latest edition of Life Matters is ready for download from Baptists for Life. It's all about the beginning and end of life — and how those lines keep getting blurred by new technology, medical and scientific “advances,” and tough circumstances.
