The Pink Lid is an all-out girls' event of beauty, purity, fashion, prizes, food, speakers, music and much more. It's at First Baptist Church in Houston. Girls ages 12-18 are invited. Cost is $23 at the door. ‘Get Flushed' is the theme -- to flush the girls' minds of what media is trying to tell them about how they should look, act and speak.
The Pink Lid ladies, who tour the country and host conferences, deal with topics relevant for today's teenage girl. Friday is all about what it means to be a beautiful woman inside and out, including makeup tips and a fashion show. On Saturday, girls find out how to walk in purity in today's culture and what it means to live passionately for God. Houston Herald
